You climb well indoors. You understand boards, angles, controlled movement.
Then you get outside – and suddenly everything feels different.
The holds are irregular. The feet are worse. The rock doesn't care about your plan.
That disconnect is normal. This session exists to close it.
Every month we'll be heading outdoors for an informal day at a crag – a chance to apply what we have all learned in the gym to real rock, with experienced eyes around to help.
Why This Matters
On real rock, inefficient movement gets exposed quickly. But so does good movement.
You'll see:
• How indoor technique translates to natural features
• What reading rock actually means when there are no coloured holds
• Which movement principles stay the same – and which ones change
For many climbers, this is the missing link between gym progress and outdoor confidence.
Most climbers stay indoors because outdoor climbing feels intimidating. The gap between gym and crag stays wide.
This session exists to close it.

What To Expect
Informal climbing in small groups. Sandbox coaches, and experienced climbers will be around – watching movement, answering questions, offering adjustments when they're useful.
It's the kind of coaching that happens naturally when experienced climbers share a crag. Enough input to be useful. Not so much that it gets in the way.
No drills. No theory. Just climbing outside with good people around.
Who It Is For
• Indoor climbers curious about outdoor bouldering
• Workshop attendees wanting to apply concepts in the real world
• Anyone who wants to experience outdoor climbing with guidance
You don't need prior outdoor experience.
You just need curiosity and a willingness to climb, observe, and learn.
